Toronto, ON- April 22th, April 23st 2017-The Acupuncture and TCM Continuing Education Conference (TCMACE) and Toronto International Traditional Chinese Medicine Conference 2017 will be held at Markham Civic Center and Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. At TCMACE, we aim to gather the top-tier TCM acupuncture experts from all over the world; provide them an innovative platform to network, expand their knowledge, and better inherit the classics while advancing the techniques in the TCM industry.

Professor Jin Zhang
Jin Zhang, Professor, Inscription of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of Traditional Chinese Medicine as Representative of “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization,Prof. Jin Zhang is world renowned for his expertise in Acupuncture and Moxibustion, particularly in Advanced Manipulation Techniques. He is currently the Chief Doctor and Professor at TCM Academy of Heilongjiang Province, Professor of Henan University of TCM and Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine. Dr. Zhang has worked for over 60 years on the advancement of TCM worldwide, through countless hours of practice, research and dedication on a number of TCM Associations, including his roles as a Board Member of All-China Zhen-Jiu (Acupuncture & Moxibustion) Association and President of the International Association of Acupuncture & Moxibustion Manipulation Techniques. Dr. Zhang has published more than 80 papers in both Chinese and international journals, and has been presented with numerous awards for his success in the field of TCM
Professor Binjiang Wu
Binjiang Wu, Professor, R.TCMP, PhD Supervisor, President of Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Executive Member of the World Federation of Acupuncture & Moxibustion Societies, Chairman of the Board of TCM Acupuncture Inheritance Committees of WFAS. Professor Wu was a former disciple of world-renowned acupuncture expert Wang Xuetai, TCM Qigong expert Jiao Guorui, and the representative inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage TCM Acupuncture, Professor Zhang Jin. Professor Wu has laid his main research in the field of acupuncture techniques, Qigong, insomnia, uterine blood, infertility, and mental illness; he had conducted in-depth research in the development strategy for TCM overseas and TCM education. Professor Wu is the associate editor of the second edition of《针灸大成校释》Zhen Jiu Da Cheng Jiao Shi and had published more than 290 academic articles. Professor Wu invented a unique TCM Tuina massage method named Wu’s Head Massage; this massage method has become more and more popular in the TCM industry and Professor Wu’s book Wu’s Head Massage has been published in English, Chinese, and Hungarian
Professor Xiyan Gao
Xiyan Gao, professor, PhD Supervisor, MD, director of the Acupuncture Program at Henan University of Chinese Medicine. Professor Gao is one of the pioneers in the Acupuncture Scientific Society and the Project leader of the Acupuncture Tuina program from the Educational Department; he’s also the leader of the Ten-Two-Five TCM enhancement Science Community of the National TCM regulation department, Henan Provincial Acupuncture Tuina Scientific Society, Henan Provincial Technique Academy, Henan Provincial Acupuncture Educational Team, and Henan Provincial elite program “The study of Acupuncture”. Professor Gao also serves as the President of Chinese Acupuncture Association, Vice President of Chinese Acupuncture Association Acupuncture Literature Committee, Vice President of Chinese Acupuncture Association Phlebotomy and Cupping Committee, and member of Chinese Acupuncture Needle Manipulation Committee. Professor Gao was devoted to the educational, clinical, and research segments of acupuncture; he focuses on the improvement and innovation of needle techniques; he specializes in the treatment of insomnia, headaches, and dizziness. Professor Gao also participated in various projects under the National Natural Science Foundation, Provincial Scientific Programs and won multiple awards at he Henan Provincial Scientific Award. He posses 5 patented inventions in the field, and had published 267 academic articles and edited 22 books.
Professor Erping Xu
Erping Xu, Professor, Master supervisor in Formula of Traditional Chinese Medicine, President of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Professor Xu has been the vice president of Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Acadimic leader of herbal prescription at State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of People’s Republic of China. Professor Xu works on the area of teaching and researching of traditional Chinese medicine. Professor Xu has laid his main research in the field of the Compatibility and Action Mechanism of Prescriptions. Professor Xu has won the first prize of the Research Achievement Award of the Education Department of Henan Province; Second prize of Henan Science and Technology Progress Award; Second prize of Science and Technology Achievement Award at Henan province.Professor Xu had published 5 monographs and 15 articles.
Professor Dawei Zhang
Dawei Zhang, Professor, Chief Physician, Master study supervisor, and the president of Acupuncture and Tuina college at Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Certified expert of the National Chinese Medicine Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education. Secretary-General of Henan Medicine Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education, vice president of Henan Maternal and Children Health Care Association. He was a former disciple of renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine expert Qingzhi Pang and studied Gynaecology of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 1997 to 2000. He works on teaching and researching of the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Clinical Gynaecology under Traditional Chinese Medicine. Professor Zhang has laid his main research in the field of the treatment of infertility with traditional Chinese Medicine. Professor Zhang hosts and participates 26 projects under provincial level, and won second prize and third prize of Henan Province Science and Technology Progress Award; second prize of Henan spark program; two grand prizes, two first prizes and three second prizes of Henan teaching achievement award. Professor Zhang had published 21 monographs and 46 articles.
Professor David Dong Liu
David Dong Liu hold a doctor degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, Master Degree in Education in Health and Kinesiology from University of Texas at Tyler. David has been teaching and practicing Acupuncture and TuiNa (TCM Osteopathy) since 2001 in Toronto. Besides teaching entry-level acupuncture courses, I developed four advanced acupuncture curriculums: Meridian Tapping for sport injury prevention and recovering; TCM Osteopathic Techniques; Clinical YiJinJing Qigong Manual; and Acupuncture Special Points. As an acupuncturist, David has been treating several national and international elite athletes. I attended Canadian Open, world championship, and European figure skating championship from 2011 to 2014. David also has been treating over ten clients with bladder or bowel dysfunction after severe Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) since 2012. The stories related acupuncture treatment and SCI were published twice in Outspoken Magazine from SCI Ontario.
Jacob Brainis
Jacob Brainis – Ontario accredited Osteopath and Acupuncturist – successfully combines the healing modalities of laser therapy, osteopathy and acupuncture for the treatment of a full range of physical conditions. Jacob Brainis graduated from Henan University of TCM with a bachelor degree in medicine (Bs.C/Med), also earned the Acupuncture Points Infusion Post-graduated Certificate from Henan University of TCM, China; also graduated from Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy. In his post-graduated studies, Jacob Brainis was trained by US educated Osteopathic Physicians. February 2010 Certified and Licensed to practice as a Licensed Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, ND/M/ from The Sovereign Medical Order Of The Knights Hospitaller. In 1972, he graduated from Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. With a Masters Degree in Physical Education, and as a former instructor and coach in various athletic disciplines, he brings extensive knowledge to the field of holistic health.

Cancellation must be made in advance in writing to the conference secretariat. A 70% refund of the registration fee and conference collaterals will be sent via mail to delegates who are unable to attend the conference.
