COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This two-day Cosmetic Acupuncture workshop is designed for Registered Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners. Participants can expect to be able to provide a basic protocol after practice.

Each day includes a lecture first in the morning and lots of practice in the afternoon. We will cover not only rejuvenation but also approaches that help different skin conditions such as Acne, Rosacea and we will discuss body acupuncture strategies as well as face/scalp needling that can help treat these conditions. We will also cover some basics of making your own skin care products for different skin types should you be interested in pursuing that further. We will discuss the business/marketing aspect as well as reasons why we may want to incorporate Cosmetic Acupuncture into your Acupuncture practice to increase your earning potential and diversify your practice.

After the weekend you can expect to be more comfortable with Face Acupuncture points that you may not regularly use in practice, so in fact, whether you end up offering a Cosmetic aspect or not, you will advance your needling technique for the face which is quite a sensitive area. Contraindications, and safety will be covered. You will learn to use a variety of needle types for the face, with special techniques.
