  • 804 QiGong Self Cultivation III 30hrs Sundays 9:00am-12:45pm May 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th June 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th

COST: $390 / course

TOTAL PROGRAM COST: $3,120

*Cancellations on or before two week prior to the course start date will result in a $50 + HST cancellation fee. Student cancellations made less than two weeks prior will not receive a refund.


OCTCM’s Medical Qigong Certificate is a postgraduate certificate course designed for Acupuncturists and TCM practitioners who wish to better integrate the practice and principles of qigong into their clinical practice. It is a comprehensive program including theory, practice and clinical application.


Continuing our learning from Fall of 2022 we will offer this in a weekend intensive format approximately 1 weekend per month for one year or 2-3 courses each term. Spring courses include:

COURSE DESCRIPTION: QIG-804 Qigong Self-Cultivation III Hours: 30 HRS / Credits: 2 Prerequisites: None Students learn to become more deeply aware of their own qi and how to use it to remain centred and relaxed, to cleanse and disperse stagnant qi, and to increase their own reserves of qi. How to integrate these exercises and awareness into the practice of TCM is also taught. Qigong Self-Cultivation III is the last course in the Qigong Self-Cultivation sequence, so it will also covers some advanced exercises, breathing, and visualization methods to increase students’ awareness and understanding.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: QIG-806 Qigong Therapy II Hours: 30 HRS / Credits: 2 Prerequisites: QIG-805 In the second course in the qigong therapy sequence, students further strengthen their ability to use their qi for healing purposes as applied to a TCM clinical setting. They further refine their ability to emit qi and learn more complex treatment protocols and methodologies.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: QIG-808 Therapeutic Qigong II Hours: 30 HRS / Credits: 2 Prerequisites: QIG-802-804 / TCM-102 The second course in the therapeutic qigong sequence deepens the student’s ability to prescribe appropriate qigong exercises to patients for preventative reasons and to treat various health concerns.

QIG-805: Qigong Therapy I (30 hours)

QIG-806: Qigong Therapy II (30 hours)

QIG-807: Therapeutic Qigong I (30 hours)

QIG-808: Therapeutic Qigong II (30 hours)


Non Acupuncturists or TCM Practitioners will also need to complete: TCM-103, ACU-203, BME-502, TCM-100.
