Neuro-Meridian Acupuncture Certification Program

The Neuro-Meridian Acupuncture Certification Program empowers acupuncturists with advanced clinical techniques, integrating neuroanatomy with Classical Chinese Medicine. 

This specialized training provides a comprehensive approach to diagnosing, assessing, and treating pain using modern, evidence-informed methods. 


 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW


Program Highlights: 

  • 78 contact hours, including lecture, practical training, demonstrations, hands-on clinical skills practicum, and cadaver/anatomy lab (subject to availability). 

  • Delivered in three (3) intensive modules, each spanning four (4) consecutive days. 

  • Patient-centered training that integrates Eastern and Western approaches for enhanced clinical outcomes. 


Upcoming Course - Module 1: Upper Extremity, Neck & Head Intensive

 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Neuroanatomical Jing-Mai System: Understand the anatomical basis of point functions by interpreting the neurovascular system as the Jing-Mai system. 

  2. Electro-Modulation Techniques: Develop proficiency in stimulating sensory, motor, and autonomic nervous system branches. 

  3. Neuro-Meridian Plucking & De Qi Sensation: Master precision-based techniques to elicit the unique De Qi sensation based on neuroanatomy and channel theory. 


Four-Day Intensive Training:

Daily Schedule: 9AM – 6pm (Final day: 8AM – 4PM)

Location: OCTCM Toronto Campus - 3rd FL, 283 Spadina Ave

Course Fee: $2,000 CAD + HST

Early Bird Price: $1800 until Aug 7, 2025

Modeled after York University’s Professional Practice Certificate, this post-graduate certification program offers an in-depth understanding of pain and neurological dysfunction through a neuroanatomical lens, while maintaining the core principles of Classical Chinese Medicine.

Day 1 (9 AM – 5 PM)

 • Introduction to Integrative Acupuncture 

 • Neuro-Stimulation & De Qi for Upper Extremity (Parts 1 & 2)

 • Neurological Mechanism of Acupuncture 


Day 2 (9 AM – 5 PM)

 • Neuro-Stimulation & De Qi for Upper Extremity

 • Treatment Protocols & Demonstrations:

      • Trigger Finger 

      • De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis

      • Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)

      • Tricep 

      • Bicipital Tendinitis

      • Rotator Cuff Syndrome 


Day 3 (9 AM – 5 PM)

 • SMART Guidelines: Integrating Eastern & Western Approaches

 • Neuro-Stimulation & De Qi for Neck & Head 


Day 4 (8 AM – 4 PM)

 • Neuro-Stimulation & De Qi Sensation for Neck & Head

 • Treatment Protocols & Demonstrations:

      • Tension Headache

      • Migraine Headache

      • Cluster Headache

      • Occipital Neuropathic Headache

      • Allergic Rhinitis

      • TMJ Dysfunction

      • Trigeminal Neuralgia

      • Facial Nerve (Bell’s) Palsy

      • Cervicalgia 


 

REQUIREMENTS & ENROLLMENT


  • Eligibility: Licensed acupuncturists with proof of malpractice coverage (no exceptions)

  • Limited Spots: Due to hands-on training, spaces are strictly limited

  • Prerequisites: None required


 

CEU/PDA Accreditation: 

  • 26 NCCAOM PDA Approved

  • 26 CA CEU (Category 1, California Acupuncture Board, Provider #1513)
